Diane Phimister, Chair
Diane is a registered Mental Health Nurse who works at a local university. She has a particular interest in women’s issues and has been on the board of Kairos since April 2014.
Diane is currently involved in researching issues related to mothers and domestic violence and has a personal commitment to supporting, enabling and empowering women from all walks of life to achieve positive change, growth and freedom from living in compromised environments.
Dr Jane Osmond, Secretary
Dr Osmond is a Research Fellow at Coventry University, a director for Creative Optimistic Visions which promotes the use of protective behaviours for young people at risk of CSE, and is managing editor of the feminist news site, Women’s Views on News.
Elizabeth Billinger, Treasurer
Elizabeth trained as an accountant with one of the largest firms in the world, but has been running her own small practice since 1994. The collaborative nature of working with KairosWWT provides a welcome balance to all the time she spends working alone. She tries hard to show that not all accountants are boring and spends a lot of time making things, photographing things, and travelling to interesting places.
Carole Barrick, Secretary
Carole joined the Board of Kairos in October 2012. She occasionally helps at the Drop In and has been involved in fund raising events. Carole works part time as a Legal Secretary and likes to spend any spare time with her family.
Penny Drayton, Trustee
Penny has been a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist since 2008. She initially joined Kairos WWT as a volunteer in January 2007. Now retired (OAP), her passion and commitment to the organisation has not waned, the nature of the work gives her focus, helping her to retain her marbles as old age advances! She enjoys Pilates, overseas travel and still attends all Rod Stewart’s concerts.
Thea Raisbeck, Trustee
Thea started out as a drop in volunteer in 2011 before joining the Board as a Trustee in January 2015. Thea is motivated by a strong belief in social justice and has a background in domestic abuse support, housing, welfare rights and policy research. When she is not waving placards and railing against injustice, Thea can mainly be found watching crime documentaries, listening to Bruce Springsteen or indulging her love of all things 1980s.
Valerie Seymour, Trustee
Valerie is a Support Workers for people with high, multi-complex needs which include mental health issues, homelessness and drug and alcohol problems. Her involvement with KairosWWT enables her to support the good work they do. She spends her leisure time taking her dog for a walk and having quality time with her granddaughters.
